  海洋微藻（硅藻为主）的生化与分子生物学研究。研究内容主要涉及：海洋硅藻程序化死亡的生物学特征；硅藻硅吸收与生物硅化作用的分子机制；能源微藻；海洋硅藻胞外多糖的分子组成结构；典型有害赤潮微藻的分子鉴定与系统进化研究；赤潮生物生理生态学研究；海洋有害赤潮微藻分子探针的研制与检测；微藻生物能源等。
