　　李庆生，1954年出生于湖北武汉，英语语言文学硕士，1975年进入武汉大学外文系英语专业学习，1981年研究生毕业，1987年赴英国、2003年赴美国等国家学习进修；现任武汉大学外国语言文学学院英文系教授，武汉大学外语学院副院长，武汉大学教学指导委员会委员，教育部高等学校外语专业教学指导委员会委员。在20多年的教学、科研实践中，先后讲授了综合英语、英语阅读、英语听力、英语句法学、文体学、普通语言学、语用学等本科和研究生课程，主持过“俄语-英语双外语试点班”（省级重点）、“基础英语教育形成行评估评价工具”（国家级）等科研项目，发表学术论文、论著、教材等40余篇（部），同时还翻译了《五月花》、《神勇斗士》一批群众喜闻乐见的电视连续剧和电视片。
　　Li Qingsheng, born in 1954 in Wuhan, entered Wuhan University in 1975 and graduated in 1981 from the postgraduate program of the English Language and Literature at the Department of Foreign and Literature, Wuhan University. In 1987, he went to Britain and studied at University of Strathclyde for one year. In 1987, he went the USA, and stayed at Jacksonville State University for a period of three months. He is now Professor of English at the English Department of College of Foreign Languages and Literature, Wuhan University, specializing in linguistics and pragmatics in particular. As the Vice Dean of the college, he is in charge undergraduate studies while acting as a member of the University Undergraduate Supervision Committee and National Education Consultation Committee respectively. Over the past 25 years or more, he has taught more than 10 courses in the English language learning and teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Besides, he has also translated a number of literary works and TV series, has published over 40 books or articles on the English Language and English teaching, and has sponsored more than 5 research projects (2 of which at the state level).
